When do you feel it is appropriate to respond to comments made on your LJ posts?

I haven't been on a real vacation in years. But, recently (er, this summer?) I've discovered that taking day trips to touristy places in the area has adequately created the illusion and feel of a vacation, if only for an afternoon. Granted, I'm lucky to be here in the exciting San Francisco Bay Area, but I've had some great times with just a beach or a park or something...

So anyway. Here's a mini-picspam/photoblog, mostly of the excursions I've embarked upon in the past couple months :)


I have at least two other picspams planned... but I'm also moving on Saturday, so ahh - I gotta bunch of stuff I have to take care of this week. Hope everyone had a great weekend, though. Take a day trip vacation :D

Earlier today, I made my first college tuition/housing payment. Umm, ouch.

new layout! :) I'm becoming moderately layout ADD, so we'll see how long this one lasts...

& I just finished all things and my heart feels like it went through a wringer. It hurts, guys. I don't even think I can begin to describe... just the sheer brilliance of it all, and Scully... and gaaaaaaawd. Someone hold me while I cry.

Also, I've been thinking about how I've recently been totes spamming my f-list with the X-Files, and while that is essentially the entirety of my life right now, its not totally applicable to everyone on said f-list. And so, here is a picspam of possibly my favorite Cristina/Owen scene from Grey's... :)

Holy crap, I'm pretty proud of myself for this, not gonna lie. Did it all in one sitting too. I was watching this... and I thought I'd just take a couple screencaps for cheers, but when I got to the hallway scene... I indulged myself, and thus, the ending is much, much more detailed than the somewhat-scattered beginning.

It's okay though; soak in the XF LOVE ♥ :)
Slight warning for a fairly image-heavy post.

So yesterday - and I rarely do this - I went to the movie theatre. I went to the Metreon in San Francisco, and boy has that placed changed over the years. It's much more... depressing. In any case, I paid (well, my boyfriend paid, since it WAS my birthday) 11 WHOLE DOLLARS - you see why I don't go out to the movies ever? ANYWAY... (see, I digress, a LOT) ...

I saw Star Trek, and I fell in love.

Like I said before, I know I've been totally M.I.A. from the LJ scene... but I'm back! With icons! I wanted to do 5x19 and really come back with a BANG, but alas... too big of a task for me. So I did 5x17 and 5x18 instead, and I do think I got some good ones out of those episodes.

I have 12 new Grey's Anatomy icons from all over Season 5. I've been trying some new stylizing techniques, so I don't think they really look like anything I've done before, but nonetheless...

I've decided to start using my LJ to post graphics, because... why not? I have it, so why not just have an archive of my own stuff? I also reserve the right to rant randomly and sporadically talk about nothing :]

But for now, I have 36 ( 067-102 ) 100x100 Cristina/Owen icons.
I've been trying to do quality control, so hopefully that shows.
